Due to the growth of our campus, we now have 10 school buses serving our students.  This has created an unsafe situation during morning drop off as parents and buses both use the same area to drop off students and as the students cross the busy driveways.  In order to ensure the safety of our students and create a smoother flow of traffic, we will be closing the front of the school driveways to all car traffic until after 7:40 in the morning.  If you are dropping off your children before school, please use our traffic lines located at the back drive of the school off of Indina Drive.(To get here, take Indina off of Avery Ranch Blvd.)  This is an easy drive-thru, and you do not even have to get out of your cars!  If you would like to walk your child up to the school, please park in the side lot and walk your child to the building using the manned (or Coach McBride) crosswalk.  This change will take effect beginning Tuesday, Sept. 2.  We truly appreciate your patience and flexibility as we try to find the smoothest, safest flow of traffic for our children.  If you have any questions, please contact our assistant principal, Therese Wafford at 512-704-0600.

Important Note:

Crossing guards are hired through the City of Austin.  We currently do not have a crossing guard for the Palmbrook/ Indina Hills area.  If possible, please walk with your younger children; have your child walk with friends; and remind them to follow pedestrian rules.  This is another reason to be extremely careful when driving through the neighborhood!

Being a crossing guard is a great way to support our school and community.  It is for just a few hours in the morning & afternoon.  If you are interested or know someone who may be interested in being a crossing guard, please call Esperanza Schiele at 512-565-5623.
