Community Service:
RRISD Council of PTAs provides a service called the Clothes Closet. The Clothes Closet provides gently used clothing as well as new socks and underwear to RRISD students who qualify. There are two Clothes Closet locations in RRISD and both are staffed by volunteers from local elementary, middle, and high school PTAs.

The Sommer PTA has one shift each month during the school year. We provide volunteers for the Clothes Closet location at Voigt Elementary. Our shifts are the 2nd Wednesday of each month from 9:30- 11:30 a.m.

During each two hour shift, volunteers will unpack, sort, and hang clothing donations. Volunteers will also help the shift leader behind the counter with the distribution of socks and underwear and bagging of clothes as needed.

If you would like to volunteer at the Clothes Closet, please sign up on the link below.
