MultiCultural Committee:
Our Sommer families have done it again! Having our different communities come together for the Passport event last Friday evening has been such a unique experience. The immense pride we have for our native lands is undeniable. We LOVE that our kids benefit. We ALL benefit. We hope that this has inspired you and your children to discover new cultures and cuisines and perhaps one day visit these wonderful countries!
Special thanks goes to our Sommer families who represented Brazil, Costa Rica, México, Puerto Rico, USA, Eritrea in Africa, Portugal, Italy, Germany, India, Sri Lanka, Korea, China, and Taiwan. Thanks also to the MultiCultural Core Team who helped bring all of this together – Jane Pan (Performances), Jacqueline Johnson (Decorations), Britni Henrich Reese (Volunteer Coordinator), Jennifer Chen (Food Trucks), Aditi Srinivasan Nee Rana (Volunteers), and our Queens of Ceremonies – Mrs. Caldwell and Mrs. Daniel. Y’all are simply the best!!

Healthy Lifestyles:
November is Healthy Lifestyles month! Students will have a chance to submit “What Healthy Means to Me.” The forms will be sent this week and submissions due Friday, 11/17. A winner will be selected for each grade level and submission displayed on the Wall of Champions!
