5th-grade students explored electrical energy and properties of matter using Makey Makeys. If the material conducted electricity, then the Makey Makey app would play. The students loved making a human circuit where one person was grounded and the rest of the students touched hands while the last person pushed the button. causing the app to play. Next up, making interactive posters with Scratch and Makey Makeys.

Mrs. McCord had one of her 3rd grade students turn in his star cards (class incentive) to do a show and tell. He brought his coin collection to share with the class. The student has been collecting coins since Kindergarten. The oldest coin dates back to the 1800's. Students saw some coins that were made and used during the Civil War. WOW!
