Students in 5th grade participated in a Poetry Slam this past Friday. This is the final piece of our PBL project with the driving question "How can I use poetry to express my identity?" Students used the elements of poetry to write their own poems about their identity. Students performed one poem in a class-wide poetry slam, and the top-voted students from each class performed at the grade-wide event.
Congratulations to our Educational Assistant and Teacher of The Year, Ms. Dowd and Mrs. Zugg! We are lucky to have you at our school pouring your compassion and love into our children.

Representatives from Cedar Valley Middle School and Pearson Ranch will be on hand to answer questions about their Fine Arts classes.
We are getting ready for our Fine Arts Celebration Night on January 29th from 6:00-8:00pm. All ages are welcome! Every student will have a piece of art displayed and there will be performances from our two choir groups! Plus representation from both middle schools will be there to showcase their band, choir, visual arts, and band classes.

Our Science Fair is underway! Here are just a few of the projects. Congratulations to all of the students who participated! Winners will be announced later this week.
Fine Arts Night is coming in January! All students will have a piece of art work displayed. Stallion Choir and Singing Stars will perform. Cedar Valley and Pearson Ranch will have representatives from their choir, band, orchestra, and visual arts classes. We hope to see you there on January 29th at 6:00pm.
We are so proud of these 2nd grade girls who completed their 3D designs. Under the direction of Mrs. Heitner and Mrs. Vogl, these girls met after school for 5 weeks to learn about 3D printing.
Thank you to our wonderful admin team for providing goodies for the staff! Our tummies enjoyed the warm soup and grilled cheese sandwiches!
We had a special visitor yesterday!!! The kids tried hard to catch the gingerbread man!

The McNeil High School Musicale is hosting an event called Cocoa and Carols. Tickets are $5.00 and can be purchased by scanning the attached QR code.
Teachers and students celebrated the end of their Greek Mythology Unit on October 21. by dressing up and enjoying a feast of grapes, grape juice, olives, hummus, pita chips, and pomegranate.
