5th-grade students explored electrical energy and properties of matter using Makey Makeys. If the material conducted electricity, then the Makey Makey app would play. The students loved making a human circuit where one person was grounded and the rest of the students touched hands while the last person pushed the button. causing the app to play. Next up, making interactive posters with Scratch and Makey Makeys.

Hey Dude, Nice Shoes is coming tonight! The students heard a great message this morning! Mrs. Heitner's kiddos took time today to take a photo after the morning sessions. The hand on the forehead is a reminder to show kindness.

Our Spooky Steam Night is coming up on October 3rd! If you are interested, we would love to have some parent volunteers. Parents can scan the QR code to sign up to help out.
If you have high school students who need volunteer hours, please contact Michelle_Vogl@roundrockisd.org. We need students to help run stations such as the drones, Legos, Coding Mice, and Indy robots.
