Sommer Elementary School Yearbook:
All pre-ordered yearbooks will be distributed & sent home with students on Thursday, May 25th. If you missed out on getting a book, extras will be sold for $30 CASH ONLY at the following times until sold out. First come, first serve.
Friday, May 26th at 7:30am-8:15am in the Sommer Office
Friday, May 26th at 2:30pm-3:15pm in the Sommer Office
If extra books remain after Friday, a table will be set up outside the cafeteria during awards presentations starting Tuesday, May 30th at 8:30am.
Healthy Lifestyles:
If any parents want their kiddo’s Wall Of Champions pictures, they’re in the office until Thursday. Thank you!
MultiCultural Committee:
TRAVELING this summer? We’d love to get postcards with famous landmarks from all around the world (we’ll take them from the USA too)! KStar news will continue to have a “You’ve got Mail” segment next year and will share our students’ summer adventures.

Students can say hello in the language of the country they’re visiting, tell us about their favorite moment on the trip, give an account of a weird food they tried, or share a fun fact about the place, etc. If the postcard is signed with the student’s name and grade level, that would be great! Bonus points for including the country’s stamps and mailing it from that country! Join the MCC as a parent
Reflections:
Congratulations to Vishwak Senan P Ashokkumar (Kinder) whose Reflections entry advanced to national level judging AND was awarded “Award of Excellence”!! This is the first time we had an entry from our schools make it to national level. His entry is one of just 16 entries from the whole of Texas that got Award of Excellence at national level!
Community Service/ Clothes Closet:
Sommer’s lost and found is overflowing! Please have your child check the box and collect anything that belongs to them. All items not collected by the last day of school will be donated.
