Quick Notes:
Our Lost & Found is full of coats and other items. We still have some cold mornings! Please have your child check for missing coats, water bottles, jackets, etc. You may want to make a trip by yourself! All clothing items will be donated to the RRISD Clothes Closet on Thursday, Feb. 1.
Valentine’s Day Parties:
Valentine’s day parties will be held on Wednesday, February 14. These parties are designated as “student-only” parties in order to provide a time for teachers and students to share valentines and celebrate as a class family. Classroom teachers will work with homeroom parents on specific plans.

MultiCultural Committee:Vanakkam (Hello in Tamil)! Come by to visit our MultiCultural Committee’s newest country for the month of January – Sri Lanka! Special thanks to Sommer parent Priya Dharshan and her family for sharing Sri Lankan artifacts and educational information on this beautiful country.
Library:
Book fair begins Thursday, Feb 8th! Shopping hours – Feb 8th: 2.45pm – 4.30 pm, Feb 9th: 7.15 am – 6.15 pm, Feb 12th: 7.15 am – 4.15 pm, Feb 13th: 7.15 am – 12.00 pm.
Movie Night:
Grab a blanket and head on over to the Sommer Cafeteria on Feb 9th to watch the movie “Finding Dory”, with your Sommer family and friends! Doors open at 6.30 pm and movie starts at 7.00 pm. So Save the date!
